Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa, Cheshire

My friends and I go to Crewe Hall every Saturday morning for yoga, followed by coffee in the beautiful Sheridan Bar, where we are served coffee by a very lovely lady called Melissa. Thanks Mel for making our Saturday mornings feel special 😘

The main building is like visiting a stately home. The architecture is magnificent. Staff are friendly, helpful and like to have a chat. Food is good although maybe slightly overpriced. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice touch with a bar of chocolate in the room due to it being my birthday. I would highly recommend you visit this hotel. I don’t think you would be disappointed.

This is a place my friend and I always come back to for the perfect spa day and afternoon tea. We came today to celebrate my besties birthday. I had the best massage and foot treatment with Louise, her treatment was the best I have ever received and I came away with a couple of Elemis products she recommended. I left feeling so relaxed and felt like I was walking on air. Then we finished off the day with afternoon tea in the beautiful period main building. The sandwiches were tasty and the scones and sweet treats were delicious. The two ladies that served us, Melissa and Casey made our afternoon tea special. They were so friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, they make a great team! Thank you to all ladies for such a wonderful day, it’s people like you that makes us come back, We will see you again soon!

Afternoon Tea Had a lovely afternoon tea at Crewe Hall today. We were very well looked after by Mel and Casey, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was lovely, and the selection of teas was amazing, I especially recommend the White Peach Sangria. Will definitely go again,

We had a two night room package, which included contribution to dinner, and entry to Bridgemere Show Gardens. Hotel setting is perfect. Grounds are beautiful. We had room at the back of the new block, with great views. The room was spacious and well appointed. Bed was large - but, for us, the mattress was far too firm!! We had room sevice which was excellent, and plentiful. Breakfast was wonderful, and freshly prepared - everything in english breakfast was hot as it should be. But the coffee machines only delivered weak coffee - this needs to be addressed! The staff of the hotel were outstanding. Always polite, very helpful and attentive. They all greeted with a "good morning" when passing in corridor - a little thing but important.hotel. Our stay was brilliant. I highly recommend the hotel.

Crewe Hall far outdid my expectations. Right from the minute we walked through the main entrance we both felt so relaxed. The grounds are spectacular, definitely a hidden gem. The massage hit all the right spots, the evening meal was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The waiting staff were so friendly and didnt make u feel rushed. Casey who works in the lounge bar is such a lovely young lady. Served us our drinks and stopped for a little chat. Highly recommend and we will be visiting again

Had a business meeting and had a lovely experience staff lovely very polite. Mel Sheridan was the lady behind the bar she was very polite and helpful brought over our tea and coffee order with a smile and was chatty and very approachable.

Great stay at Crewe Hall Hotel, for my husband's birthday. Amazing architecture, room clean and comfortable. The food was good and staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the breakfast team. Lovely stay, thanks.

Overall we had a great overnight stay at Crewe Hall. Crewe Hall is a lovely old building with a newer wing housing a spa and the brassier. We were lucky to be allocated a bedroom in the old house. The bedroom and en suite were enormous and as it was my partner's birthday we were given a bottle of wine , chocolate and a card. A lovely and unexpected touch. We had a light lunch in the Sheridan Bar which was the old dining room. The atmosphere was great and the staff throughout our stay were extremely helpful and friendly. Dinner was served in the brasserie as was breakfast. Being a modern room it lacked the delightful atmosphere of the Sheridan Bar but necessary to accommodate more guests. The dinner menu was small but adequate however we were very disappointed in the cooked breakfast which was unfortunately so cold that it was inedible. As this was the only fault we found with our stay it will not deter us from returning and already look forward to our next visit.

We had the most amazing stay and couldn’t be happier with our experience. Our room was absolutely spotless – a huge thank you to Toni, who did such a fantastic job. Everything was perfectly clean and made us feel so comfortable from the moment we arrived. Check-in was so easy and stress-free, which really set the tone for our stay. The staff were incredible throughout – so friendly, helpful, and genuinely supportive. From helping us plan our wedding right through to the very end of our special day, they went above and beyond for us. We truly couldn’t have asked for better service and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back again!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Hotel room was modern, clean and spacious. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, including the drinks. The drive up felt like being a guest at downtown abbey. The history of the hall was lovely and well maintained. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautifully set and lots of squirrels for neighbours. We had a 50 minute massage at the spa, my masseuse BEE was incredible. She is truly talented, I felt super relaxed and the facial took 10 years off me. Lovely facilities, and plenty of time to enjoy the spa. The water beds are a cool addition to the relaxation room post massage. We booked the offer online and the only improvement I would suggest was a change to the booking system as we had issues booking the spa spot as we booked on the same day we arrived. The reservation team was amazing and we even got to have times close together. Therefore, we were super happy and impressed by the helpfulness of the staff. We will be returning again as we left feeling relaxed and happy, felt like a full weekend away instead of an overnight. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. We did stay in the modern part of the hotel so can’t comment on the rooms in the main hotel, but we will be looking to stay in the hall next time.

I was lucky enough to win a stay at Crewe Hall Hotel and Spa which my husband and I used after helping to look after our grandchildren. We had no idea the hall had so much history, a country house that feels like a palace with elaborate carvings in the entrance leading to a beautiful small chapel. Our bedroom was in the west wing, a newer building with ample bedroom space and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve been in for a while. As I have a bad back this is always something I hope for! We were treated to a massage each which was very relaxing, then had a delicious evening meal with really nice, friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast was also fabulous, it sounds picky but I usually don’t have mushrooms as they can be very wet and mushy, these were dry and so tasty. I’d love to know how they were cooked! Overall it was one of the best hotel visits we’ve ever had.

I have just returned from a spa break this weekend with my friend. I'm embarrassed to admit, I hadn't even heard of Crewe Hall Hotel before, but gosh, what an incredible sight it was driving up to the grounds. We received a lovely, warm welcome when we arrived and clear instructions to our room. The room itself was spotless. Equipped with everything we required and a lovely view out onto a walk way at the back. We then took the opportunity to explore the main house - wow! It was so grand and a real blast back to the past. We both enjoyed reading about the history of the place as we explored. We then visited the spa for an hour's treatment of pure heaven! Our evening meal to follow was just perfect. Attentive members of staff and first class food! What I would like to point out is the staff - EVERY member of staff we met were so lovely! Very approachable, and genuinely looked happy to work there. It might be our first visit but we will definitely be back!

Booked a spa weekend with a friend. Decent price for dinner, bed, breakfast plus a 50minute treatment. From when we pulled up in front of this stunning building, we had the best time. Reception staff were lovely and really welcoming. We were given a booklet with the history of the building - worth a read! The main building remains very authentic and definitely worth an hour of your time to take a tour. Most bedrooms are in the extension to the left of the main building, as is the restaurant and spa. Room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were great. Spa was typically busy as it was weekend but the treatments were amazing. Loved it. Will be back.

Let's start at the start. We got married in Chester on 5th May. No chance of a honeymoon, so we decided on a Minimoon!!. We saw Crewe Hall and booked two nights from 7-9 May. We booked a double room in the modern wing. I received a welcome email from the Hotel and replied; informing them that we would be married when we arrived and that we were looking forward to a bit of "down time" and not planning on leaving the grounds during our stay. I paid for an early check-in at 12pm on 7th. Crewe Hall is an impressive building, even from the outside. Parking was easy and we duly arrived in reception. The lady on the desk checked our reservation. It transpired that we were no longer in the modern wing, we had been placed in a junior suite in the Historical Wing. i.e. the main house. If I'm honest, I wasn't sure exactly what that meant, so I didn't mention anything to the Long Haired General at that point!!. On arrival in our room, there was an envelope on the bed. The card inside read "Welcome to Crewe Hall, enjoy your honeymoon. From Kerry and all the team". The Suite was beautiful. Huge bed, huge bathroom with separate bath and shower. TV. Brew kit, complimentary drinks fridge. Safe, robes, iron, hairdryer. In short. All of the colours in all of the sizes!! There was also a spiral staircase in our room which went up to a level containing some reading chairs and a TV. There was also an area which was possibly used as an office, and which overlooked the main room below. It's safe to say that we had been upgraded!! The main building itself is incredible; I'm not going to spoil it by commenting on the history etc. It's something you need to experience for yourself, and reading about it just doesn't cut it. You will not be disappointed. We went into the Sheridan Bar for afternoon tea. We met Melissa and Luke who were both lovely, Melissa came over halfway through our meal and presented us with a slate board and more cakes. Written on the board in chocolate were the words "enjoy your honeymoon" It was a lovely touch and massively appreciated. I mentioned to Melissa the card from Kerry in our room. It turns out that Kerry is the General Manager. Five minutes later, Melissa was bringing her across and it was lovely to be able to thank her in person for her kindness. No complaints regarding food either. Breakfast was very good; there is enough choice for most people I would think. Dinner was also very good. It isn't an extensive menu, but personally, I would rather a limited menu done well, rather than a huge menu which could be a drama. Again, the staff were excellent. The gym is staffed and really well equipped rather than just an afterthought. There is also a swimming pool etc, although we didn't use that during our stay. With its modern wing and the surrounding buildings; Crewe Hall is an extensive property. The grounds are well maintained, and we enjoyed a good walk around. During our stay, every member of staff we had contact with was approachable, polite and helpful. This beautiful piece of history has diversified in order to remain viable; It's a wedding venue and also an award-winning conference centre. However, during our short and very sweet stay, we were really taken with the overall tranquil atmosphere and left on Saturday morning refreshed and happy. We have no hesitation in recommending Crewe Hall. We will definitely return and thank you to Kerry and everyone else concerned for making our "Minimoon" so enjoyable and memorable.
