DISCOVER WHAT'S ON

Betley Court Gardens (10 minute drive) 

Take a stroll around the gardens.  

Dating back three centuries, you can explore the 10-acre grounds and gardens of Betley Court. Spring is an especially good time to visit, all the flowers are in bloom and the woods are carpeted in fragrant bluebells. It’s the perfect place to spend a sunny spring day.

The Gruffalo Party Trail (45 minute drive)

Delamere Forest is hosting an event to celebrate The Gruffalo’s 25th birthday. Their interactive family trail features all sorts of party-themed activities and games, along with fun facts to teach you about life in the forest for the Gruffalo and other creatures.

Funtopia (16 minute drive) 

Get active at Funtopia.   

Specially designed for young children, this is the perfect place to go during the school holidays. Enjoy a fun-filled day of giant inflatables, live shows, giant games and even character meet and greets – the kids will never want to leave.  

 

RHS Flower Show Tatton Park (40 minute drive)

Get a taste of the show.

Celebrates summer with a trip to Tatton Park. Discover awe-inspiring floral installations and unique gardens or try your hand at the have-a-go workshops. There's plenty of activities for the kids and don't forget to try all the tasty food and drinks on offer.

BeWILDerwood (30 minute drive) 

Go on an adventure.  

Lose yourself in the world of Boggles as you traverse the magical forest setting of BeWILDerwood. Autumn is one of the best times to visit this fantastical place – the changing leaves and slight nip in the air really do add to the mystery.  

 

The Magical Woodland (40 minute drive) 

Lights, sounds and interactive fun.

With Halloween lurking, autumn is the best time to experience nature in all its autumnal glory. As you wander through magical trails guided by canopies of fairy lights, be careful not to bump into one of the dinosaurs or spooky characters hidden on your walk.

Chester Christmas Market (55 miute drive) 

No winter getaway is complete without a visit to a Christmas market.   

With over 70 artisan chalets, Chester Christmas Market is the place to find something one-of-a-kind and personal to gift your loved ones for Christmas. With plenty of food and drinks flowing, you won’t want to leave.   

Three Wrens Distillery (21 minute drive)

Warm up at a gin tasting.  

You’ll be welcomed with a delicious seasonal cocktail before getting to taste a variety of gins, plus a meet and greet with one of the distillers. After a tour of the factory, you’ll get another couple of tasters and a chance to mingle with the other attendees.
